On April 25, 2025, the Busisa Foundation had the pleasure of hosting a heartwarming Bingo Night at Holiday Rancho Village in Palmdale, California.
The evening was filled with laughter, smiles, and lots of excitement as the residents gathered to enjoy a fun night of games, prizes, and connection. It was truly a beautiful reminder of the importance of honoring and appreciating the elders in our community, those who paved the way for all of us.
Our goal was to celebrate these incredible individuals, remind them they are deeply valued, and show them the love and patience they deserve. The joy and gratitude on their faces made the event even more meaningful, and it was clear that the night brought genuine happiness to everyone involved.
We are so thankful to the team at Holiday Rancho Village for welcoming us and to our amazing volunteers who made this special night possible. This was more than just a bingo game—it was a celebration of life, love, and community, and we are honored to have shared it with them.
We look forward to hosting more events like this and continuing to show our appreciation for the generations who came before us!
Heartwarming Back-to-School Event Brings Joy to Children in Madadeni, South Africa
The vibrant community of Madadeni, KwaZulu-Natal, was filled with smiles and excitement as a heartwarming back-to-school charity event took place, bringing hope and support to local children. Hosted by compassionate volunteers and generous sponsors, the initiative aimed to equip young learners with the essentials they need for a successful school year.
Children from disadvantaged backgrounds were welcomed with open arms and gifted school supplies, including backpacks and stationery, ensuring they could return to the classroom with confidence. The event was not just about material donations—it was a celebration of education and community spirit. Motivational talks from local role models inspired the children to dream big and embrace learning.
Parents and caregivers expressed their heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the difference such an initiative makes in shaping a brighter future for their children. The event ended on a high note with warm meals shared among families, fostering a sense of unity and encouragement for the academic journey ahead.

Our second event, held in Wentworth, KwaZulu-Natal, was a remarkable success. We proudly distributed 150 backpacks filled with school supplies and served 180 warm meals to students from five low-income schools in the Wentworth area. This initiative would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication and generosity of our incredible volunteers and sponsors.

As we honor National Foster Care Month this May, Busisa Foundation is excited to have hosted our Second Annual
#BusisaFamilyWorkout a free wellness event for the Palmdale community. This uplifting event toke place on 5/24/2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Marie Kerr Park and featured a group workout led by Kimberly from Glute Camp LLC, yoga by Ache’s Health and Wellness.
Our goal is to promote physical and mental well-being while raising awareness and support for children and families impacted by foster care.
We also provided healthy snacks, fruit, and refreshments for all attendees to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The Busisa Foundation hosted a Clothing Swap fundraiser on October 28, 2024, in Lancaster, CA, to highlight the importance of reusing and repurposing clothing. Events like these play a crucial role in reducing textile waste, which significantly contributes to landfill overflow and pollution. By encouraging people to swap instead of discard, we reduce the demand for new clothing production, which conserves resources like water and energy and minimizes harmful emissions. Clothing swaps also foster a sense of community and make sustainable living more accessible. We’re proud to promote such environmentally conscious initiatives and thank everyone who supported this meaningful event!
Busisa Foundation was proud to host a food drive at Grace Resources on November 15, 2024. Thanks to the generosity of Lee Esther’s, a wonderful restaurant in Palmdale, CA, we were able to provide delicious meals to those in need. In addition to the food, we distributed blankets and sanitary items to help the homeless community prepare for a cold winter in the Lancaster-Palmdale area. We are incredibly grateful to Lee Esther’s for their support in making this event impactful for our community!
The Busisa Foundation was honored to participate in the Humanity Heroes Thanksgiving event in Skid Row on November 17, 2024. With the generous sponsorship of Guerra & Casillas Law Office in downtown Los Angeles, we provided restrooms and showers, allowing approximately 50 homeless individuals to enjoy a warm, refreshing shower. Being part of such a significant event was truly a privilege, and we are deeply grateful for the collaboration with other incredible nonprofits. Together, we made this Thanksgiving a special and memorable day for the community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful effort!
The 13th Annual Celebrate Life Foundation Toy Drive was a resounding success! For over a decade, we’ve been honored to collaborate with this incredible team to bring joy to our community during the holiday season. This year, we proudly served over 200 families, spreading warmth, love, and holiday cheer. It’s truly a blessing to be part of such a meaningful event, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact year after year. Thank you to everyone who made this day unforgettable!
